Dear Friends,

It seems almost every day I hear about conflicts and troubles in the world. And many appear intertwined (at least on the surface) with issues of religion, particularly for Muslims and Christians. 

Understanding these issues has been a deep concern of mine, as I hear a lot of conflicting information. And there is so much negative rhetoric floating around! As I dug into this I learned about Trac5. These folks are working towards reconciliation between Muslims and Christians on several levels. Their work is informed by years of experience in a unique spiritual engagement in international concerns, but also in hands-on grassroots movements throughout the US. 

Their perspective was so refreshing I decided to share it with you! It's encouraging to realize that I have quite a bit in common with people I thought were so different than me. Let me know if you want to talk about how to get involved and make a difference. One first step is to realize we can have hope rather than fear.
