What is Compassion in Action?
Compassion = love your neighbor
Action = doing something
Action = doing something
Put simply - Compassion in Action is the physical, outward expression of what it looks like to love your neighbor.
More specifically - Compassion in Action is a project of Trac5 where a Muslim organization and Christian organization strategically partner together and offer a tangible solution for a need in their community.
The Goal of Compassion in Action:
Compassion in Action exists for three reasons:
1) To bless your local community
2) To extend mercy & love to those less fortunate by giving without want of return
3) To create an environment where Muslims & Christians work together for the common good
The final result is a physically, emotionally & spiritually revitalized community.
Partnership Development:
Trac5 is involved in strategic partnerships with both Muslim and Christian organizations throughout America and the world. If you would like to get involved with an organization of another faith affiliation in your community—we can help!
Examples of Compassion in Action Projects
- Feed refugee families
- Create an ESL tutoring program for second language kids
- Day of service at the local mosque or church
- Put on a program at the elderly retirement home that blesses the residents
- Develop a food program for the homeless population
- Host a carnival for underprivileged kids
- Organize a food drive
- Host an Eid/Thanksgiving dinner for underresourced people
- Clean up a park or public space
- Come up with your own—get creative!
