Nicole Ketcham
Raised by an American father and Swiss mother in Senegal, West Africa, Nicole’s multi-cultural background and experience have influenced her life path. She has had immersive educational experiences in France, Morocco, and Israel/Palestine attaining fluency in French and intermediate levels in Arabic and Hebrew. She obtained her MA in International Policy and Conflict Resolution at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and her BA in International Studies and French from the University of South Carolina.
For Nicole, understanding a person, no matter his/her culture, worldview, or status in life, is one of her highest priorities and passions. She highly values people. In her recent graduate experience, she coordinated two community events that brought together people of different faith and cultural backgrounds to discuss the role of religion in conflict resolution and the teachings of Jesus respectively. In completion of her Masters, she also participated in a six-month internship and research program in Bethlehem where she interned for the Palestinian Center for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation and conducted a case study on Jerusalem in the context of a group project exploring the connections between different forms of violence.
Nicole’s passion is reconciliation and she seeks to develop genuine connections across cultures, religions, and sectors, in her bid to contribute to positive social transformation. She began her work as a Trac5 intern in the summer of 2011.

Farrukh N. Ghouri, Intern Summer & Fall 2011
Farrukh is the CEO of the Political Sector and founder of the World Islamic Organization. A international non-governmental organization that works to provide a unified voice for Muslims for the betterment of both Muslims and Non-Muslims in all realms and matters of Politics, Religion, Socio-Economics, Security, Justice, and Equality as regulated by the Qur’an and Sunnah. Besides this, Farrukh is a senior at University of North Texas, he is majoring in International Studies; primary focus is Politics and Diplomacy, secondary focus is Regional Studies in the Middle East, and he is also obtaining a minor in Arabic. Expected graduation date is May 2012.
Ever since early on in childhood politics and religion have interested Farrukh; more so after the events of September 11, 2001. But he didn’t really start divulging into his research up until summer of 2006. Since then he has been on a quest to acquire knowledge in all realms of politics, diplomacy, foreign policy, history, culture, social norms, and comparative religion. Today he stands on nearly six years of ongoing developmental research, understanding, expertise, and acquired skills.

Emil Chireno, Intern Trac5 Leadership Summit June 2011
Emil was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is currently a graduate student of International Relations at Seton Hall University. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and French with a basic knowledge of Arabic. He has represented his country in more than 7 international conferences. In 2008, Emil became the International Projects Manager for the United Nations Association of the DR. From there he worked in various institutional alliances with UN agencies and specialized programs as well as NGO’s in more than 5 countries.
Emil was selected by UNESCO as the Latin American and Caribbean Regional co-facilitator for the 6th UNESCO World Youth Forum in Paris. He has also been a Youth Panelist and Regional Facilitator for Latin American in Peace child International 5th WYC held in Istanbul, he was a Dominican delegate at the first European Union Latin America Youth Summit Held in Madrid, and was a Delegate at the Global Model UN held in Kuala Lumpur. He has also helped organize the Youth of the Americas Forum for Haiti and its subsequent Community Service Week.
Emil served as an intern for the first Trac5 Leadership Summit held in Denver, Colorado in June 2011.
