It is painfully obvious that "political" solutions to our enormous problems are worn-out. They deal solely with outer symptoms of conflict by forcing unpleasant compromises, sugarcoated with offers of power, land and resources. And once the sweet coating wears off deep inner human hurts remain. A history of killing, revenge and mistrust often result in a return to conflict. Trac5's approach is different. We deal first with the otherwise unaddressed dark side of humanity. Seeing enmity as the inner problem, we promote healing through a unique person-to-person, spiritually based process. It powerfully reconciles enemies preparing ground to find desperately needed answers.


Groundbreaking New Approach

So what is this approach? Trac5's founder spent years studying and applying his model that included comparing and analyzing the text of the Torah, Qur'an and New Testament using their respective Semitic languages. This process revealed pioneering new strategies to find commonality among the monotheistic faiths through terms we take for granted, yet fuel fear, bigotry and radicalism. Imagine terms such as "religion", "conversion", "Messiah" and "Trinity" understood to unite rather than divide! Even the most heated disagreements centering on the nature and purpose of Jesus of Nazareth have drawn enemies to spiritual harmony. Trac5 core leadership, while diverse in religious practice, struggled personally with these thorny issues and in the process, discovered their own prejudice and mistrust turn to friendship and teamwork. Now together they each follow Jesus in their own way while respecting other's faith traditions. This is not universalism, but rather, letting new perspective on the Scriptures shape how we see each other today.

This led to the development of a model that distinctively attracts carefully selected adversaries in conflict resolution who reflect the gravitas of Gandhi, (who inspired thousands of Hindus and Muslims to put down weapons and stop the killing). They engage in a discreet person-to-person life-changing encounter. It powerfully shatters destructive paradigms while tearing down religious walls. Even the secular minded are attracted to these fresh ideas because they ultimately work in finding practical solutions for complex situations. Visualize former enemies standing together before their people as examples of changed hearts & minds, activating the spark of hope that can take on a life of its own. This is vividly seen in the demand for political change in the "Arab Spring".

Acknowledging and using a model based on building relationships among enemies through a spiritual process rather than a political or diplomatic one is difficult to accept.
